Narrated Abdullah the Prophet ﷺ said "Who among you considers the wealth of his heirs dearer to him than his own wealth?" They replied, "O Allah's Messenger. There is none among us but loves his own wealth more." The Prophet said, "So his wealth is whatever he spends (in Allah's Cause) during his life (on good deeds) while the wealth of his heirs is whatever he leaves after his death." 		003:014 Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return. best hope 018:046 Wealth and sons are allurements of the life of this world. But the things that endure - good deeds - are best in the sight of your Lord, as rewards, and best as (the foundation for) hopes. best hope 020:131 And do not extend your eyes toward what We have given for enjoyment to partners of them, (it is) the splendor of the life of this world by which We test them. And the provision of your Lord is better and more enduring. best hope 028:060-61 The (material) things which you are given are but the conveniences of this life and the glitter thereof. But that which is with Allah is better and more enduring. Will you not then be wise? Are (these two) alike? One to whom We have made a goodly promise, and who is going to reach its (fulfilment).
