Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ﷺ as saying Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect, and the one who shows humility Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people). 		003:159 So by mercy from Allah , (O Muhammad), you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude (in speech) and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely (upon Him). forgive 042:037 Those who avoid the greater crimes and shameful deeds, and, when they are angry even then forgive. forgive 059:010 And (there is a share for) those who came after them, saying, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts (any) resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful." forgive 002:109 Many of the People of the Scripture wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of envy from themselves (even) after the truth has become clear to them. So pardon and overlook until Allah delivers His command. Indeed, Allah is over all things, Competent. overlook 005:013 So for their breaking of the covenant We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their (proper) usages and have forgotten a portion of that of which they were reminded. And you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them.
