Abdullah bin Umar

The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who was admonishing his brother regarding haya (pious shyness from committing religious indiscretions) and was saying, "You are very shy, and I am afraid that might harm you." On that, Allah's Messenger said, "Leave him, for haya is (a part) of Faith."

021:089 And (mention) Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone (with no heir), while you are the Best of inheritors."

021:090 So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and cured his wife (to bear a child) for him. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.

019:012 (Allah) said, "O John, take the Scripture with determination." And We gave him judgement (even as) a boy.

019:013-14 And affection from Us and purity. And he was fearing of Allah. And dutiful to his parents, and he was not a disobedient tyrant.

019:015 And peace be upon him the day he was born, and the day he dies, and the day he is raised alive.
